James Kratzat

James Kratzat | Retired from MSKTD

Jim is a founding partner of MSKTD. He and his partners started MSKTD in 1978, and from 2007 thru 2018, Jim served as its president. Jim's interests have always been in making the spaces where people live, work and play, the types of places that make their experience positively affected by architecture.

His career highlights include his work throughout the Fort Wayne community- Erin's House, Ash Brokerage, the Allen County Public Library, Ivy Tech Fort Wayne, the Grand Wayne Center, the Embassy Theatre, the River Greenway, Children's Hope House, and several projects at his alma mater, Ball State University.

In addition to working as an Architect, Jim's most important responsibility at MSKTD was maintaining an attitude, culture, and positive atmosphere.

Still visiting the office and assisting with special projects, Jim is enjoying more time fishing, golfing, and traveling with his wife Linda. They share three children: Joe, Jenny, and Paige, and their families, as well as numerous furry and feathery friends.

Jim chose Erin's House for Grieving Children as the recipient of the $500 donation on his behalf.
