The Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana proudly announces winners of the association's 2023 BCA Service Awards sponsored by Katz, Sapper & Miller.
BCA Summit and Gold Medal Awards recognize individuals who exhibit exemplary performance and strong ethics in business dealings. In addition, these individuals made significant contributions to the general advancement of the construction industry and have been involved in local philanthropic organizations.
The Centennial Award honors an emerging leader under 40 who is active in BCA, showing commitment to leadership in their company, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens of northeast Indiana through involvement in humanitarian groups.

Summit Award Recipient

Greg Lynch Retired from Almet, Inc.
Greg is a civil engineering graduate of Indiana Institute of Technology. He enjoyed a 43-year career at Almet, Inc., a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator, and retired in May 2023 as Vice President of Engineering.
Early in his career at Almet, Greg received his Professional Engineer License to practice in the state of Indiana. During those early days, he was involved with a number of structural frame design-build projects.
Greg's passion for engineering extends beyond his professional career. He has dedicated his time to working with middle school students on Future City Competitions, fostering the next generation of engineers. His involvement in the Annual Bridge Breaking Competition for middle and high school students during National Engineers Week through the Fort Wayne Engineers Club is a testament to his commitment to community and education.
Greg served on the Indiana Fabricators Association board for about 20 years until retirement. At the end of the year, he will complete his 12th year of committee service with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).
He was elected to the BCA Board of Directors in 2010 and served as president from 2021 to 2022. He’s also served on the Membership Committee for the past 12 years and chaired it from 2013 to 2019. His term on the Executive Committee continues until the end of this year.
Gold Medal Award Recipient

David Dyer Vice President Tonn and Blank Construction
David Dyer, Vice President of Tonn and Blank Construction’s Northeast Indiana Office, received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University. David's career began at Turner Construction in Chicago, where he worked from 1998 to 2004. He joined Tonn and Blank in 2005 and was promoted to Vice President of the Northeast Indiana Region in 2018, where he has been instrumental in establishing the Fort Wayne office.
David oversees Tonn and Blank’s Northeast Indiana operations and manages projects through both design and construction phases. His career, marked by roles from superintendent to project manager to Vice President, includes involvement in over $300 million worth of construction projects. Known for his leadership, David has consistently delivered projects that surpass expectations in cost, schedule, and quality.
Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to his community. He is actively involved with the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne, the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, the Anthony Wayne Area Council – Scouting America, the Paramedic Advisory Board for Ivy Tech, and the Regional Chamber Board.
David and his wife Jennifer along with their blended family of six children, appreciate the support and recognition from the BCA. In recognition of this award, David has chosen to direct the $500 prize to the Anthony Wayne Area Council – Scouting America, a cause he is passionate about.
Centennial Award Recipient
Lea Gamble BIM Technician / Technical Coordinator Moake Park Group
Lea started her career in the construction industry as a painter for her dad’s company, G&G Decorating, and worked with him through high school and college.
Lea graduated from Ivy Tech’s Building Construction Management program in 2016 and again in 2020 from the Design Technology program. She is also a LEED AP BD+C and is passionate about sustainable construction.
She has worked at Moake Park Group for the past four years as a BIM Technician/Technical Coordinator.
Her involvement in BCA is strong. She started on the Young Professionals Committee in 2017 and later joined the Government Affairs Committee.
Outside of her BCA involvement, Lea serves as board secretary of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, currently sits on their Inclusivity, Diversity, and Advocacy Committee, and is the co-chair of the Team YLNI Committee.
